Dr. Kirk Douglas is the Director of the Centre for Biosecurity Studies at the University of the West Indies in the Carribean. He discusses his journey in One Health studying zoonotic diseases such as hantavirus, West Nile Virus, dengue, and avian influenza; the challenges and rewards of completing both an MBA and a PhD at the same time; and his work with partner organizations to develop an expanded framework on One Health.
